Details of phase two were provided by the Government today. The list of sites able to administer the shots is growing.
They are adding municipally run rites, hospitals, mobile vaccination clinics, pharmacies, clinics and primary care settings like health centres and aboriginal access centres.
The province is encouraging health care professional such as nurse practitioners, registered nurses and registered practical nurses along with pharmacists, pharmacy students and technicians to help administer the vaccines.
People eligible to receive the vaccine in phase two include older adults (80 and older decreasing as rollout progresses), individuals living and working in congregate settings, frontline essential workers (first responders, teachers, food processing industry etc) and individuals with high risk chronic conditions and their caregivers.
Phase one is hoped to be completed by February 15th.
