With screening returning for students for the coming school year, the Ontario government has made changes to the screening guidance.
Screening will no longer include things such as a runny nose, headache or sore throat among the list of symptoms associated with COVID-19.
Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kieran Moore made the update to the screening form on August 27th which identified a list of common symptoms associated with the virus.
A total of 4 symptoms were removed in the screening guidance including runny nose, headache, sore throat as well as tiredness or muscle aches.
The majority of school boards have reported a high percentage of students who will be returning for in person learning as both remote and in person are currently available for parents to choose from for their children.
