Teachers in Ontario’s English Catholic school system will be holding strike votes on October 18th and 19th.
The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association says its been trying to bargain with the government for over a year to land a fair deal but says the province has not been meaningfully engaging in discussions for funding public education.
The union says at their table they still haven’t finalized the scope of negotiations with the provincial government.
The president of the union says bargaining will continue while the strike votes take place.
