On February 10th just before 5:30pm, the Perth County OPP received a report from concerned citizens of a domestic incident that occurred just outside of a vehicle that had been stopped on Perth Line 34 in Shakespeare.
During the investigation it was learned that one person had been assaulted. The victim was not injured from the assault.
As a result a 56 year old resident of Pickering was arrested and charged with spousal assault.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Stratford at the Ontario Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
