One person is dead after a semi-truck and pickup collided in Mapleton.
Police responded to the scene just after 12 on Monday at the intersection of Wellington Road 11 and Wellington Road 7.
Reports indicated a loaded semi truck and trailer had crashed with a pickup with both drivers being seriously injured.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene with the semi truck driver taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The intersection was closed for the rest of the day and into the night but has since reopened with investigation ongoing.
