North Perth remind that Gift Wrap is Not Recyclable

Ahead of the holidays the Municipality of North Perth has advised residents that although paper gift wrap can technically be recycled it is not accepted in the blue box or wheelie bin programs in the area.

The reason for refusal is due to cross contamination from tape, bows, ribbons or excessive ink. Gift wrap must be put in your garbage.

They advise to try and reuse paper and gift bags or wrap gifts in fabric, reusable baskets or tins as a great alternative.
