It’s expected tonight in North Perth council, tender will be awarded to Avion Construction for Listowel’s Downtown Parkette project.
The Parkette is a concept to beautify downtown Listowel which was originally approved back in 2014.
Council approved construction of the Parkette as part of the Economic Development 2023 capital budget with an amount of $179,620.
The Parkette will mainly be focused on a municipally owned parking lot along Main Street East between TD Bank and Ward and Uptigrove.
Avon Constructions bid price is set at $117,531, much below the approved budget for construction elements for the Parkette.
