With funding from the Friends of the North Perth Public Library, the library has launched a pilot program to offer free menstrual products in library spaces.
The project which officially kicked off today will allow community members to have access in universal and female washrooms in Listowel, Monkton and Atwood libraries to free menstrual products.
Tracy Weber, Friends President says all women should have access to feminine hygiene products without being concerned about finances or dignity.
Costs will be tracked with the goal of expanding the project to more publicly accessible municipal buildings.
