North Perth Budget Looking at 6.61% Increase

The 2026 Mayor Budget has been released for North Perth and feedback is being welcome.

Council members are able to review the budget, provide input and proposed amendments before a final approval.

Under the new strong mayor powers given by the province which including North Perth, the Mayor is responsible for preparing and proposing the municipal budget while council has the authority to amend it.

This budget includes a property tax increase of 6.61 per cent, equaling out to $161 per year.

Mayor Todd Kasenberg says he is confident this budget supports both current needs and a long-term vision for a strong, resilient, and vibrant North Perth.
