The SIU has wrapped up its investigation into the hospitalization of a 23 year old man in Stratford.
On June 8th Stratford Police arrested a man after a call of a domestic assault who was put in a cell.
During his stay he became emotional and was seen kicking the bed, striking the floor with his hands and hitting his head against the cell wall and during routine check was found unresponsive.
The man was taken to hospital and treated for a drug overdose.
After reviewing footage, Deputy Director Stacy O’Brein was satisfied to discontinue the investigation as the man was solely responsible for his own actions.
