No Charges Laid After Lost Cargo Leads to Road Closure

Quite the scene in Stratford on Wednesday after lost cargo led to a road closure in the city.

On April 16th just after 4:30pm, Stratford Police responded to the report of a transport truck which had lost its contents on Ontario Street west of Road 111.

It was learned a truck carrying turkey carcasses heading to a feed mill was traveling east on Ontario Street when a vehicle turned left in front it, causing the truck automatic emergency brakes to activate.

The stop caused the turkeys to be ejected and land over the roadway.

No charges were laid but Ontario Street was closed for several hours for investigation.
