Next Term of North Perth Council Begins

North Perth council has officially been sworn in as the term begins.

The chambers for the most part will remain unchanged as Todd Kasenberg will remain as Mayor and Doug Kellum as Deputy Mayor.

As Julie Behrns and Terry Seiler both retire, residents voted in Sarah Blazek in the Listowel ward and Marc Noordam in Wallace.

Kasenberg says he is prepared to address the needs of residents as he enters his 2nd term.

“I will work as tirelessly as I did in my first term to support community events, hear more from citizens and to get us to the bright future ahead. I am deeply committed to advocating for our interests, whether its this council, the County of Perth or other levels of government.” said Kasenberg.

Kasenberg added several outlines expected in this term of council including diversity, affordable housing and the continued push for a truck bypass.

Council will return to the chambers on December 5th.
