New sensory rooms have opened at the Stratford General Hospital with two new labour and delivery sensory rooms on the maternal child unit.
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says with a generous anonymous community donour, these calming, non clinical spaces use soothing visuals, lighting and sound to help reduce anxiety and support labouring patients while also creating a peaceful environment for care teams.
The healthcare alliance says this is a beautiful enhancement for patients, families and staff.
