The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance is welcoming Dr. Hany Asham as the next orthopedic surgeon now practicing at both Wingham and Listowel hospitals.
This recruitment marks a step towards enhancing local surgical capacity and improving access to specialized care for patients closer to home.
Dr. Asham is currently taking referrals and offers a range of same day orthopedic procedures which previously required to travel to larger cities like Stratford or London.
Esther Millar, President & CEO of the Hospitals Alliance says having Dr. Asham joining the surgical team means that patients can receive specialized procedures right here at home without the burden of traveling long distances.
