If you’ve ever wanted to throw a dodgeball at your MP, you now have your chance.
John Nater will be hosting “Dodge for Dads” in support of mental health.
The dodgeball tournament held on June 16th at the Upper Thames Elementary School in Mitchell started as an idea from Perth-Wellington MP John Nater’s wife as a way to have some fun but also have serious discussions on mental health.
Nater says the proceeds are going to support a local mental health group.
“There’s a great organization in Arthur called Get In Touch For Hutch. It was established around 10 years ago by Myrna Hutchinson and the Hutchinson family after they lost their son to suicide. It’s a great organization, especially focused on mental health for young people. ” said Nater.
Spots are limited for the event to get teams in.
The tournament starts at 7pm with those who was to spectate also being welcome to attend.
Those interested in registering can email rsvp@nater.ca or call 519-273-1400.
