NACI advises all Canadians over 30 can receive Johnson & Johnson vaccine

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization announced today that they are recommending anyone over the age of 30 is recommended to receive the single dose Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine.

They say that the risk of rare but potentially serious blood clots should be weighed against the risk of contracting Covid-19.

The single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine is expected to be distributed across Canada shortly.

It is an adenovirus vector type vaccine similar to the AstraZenca as opposed to the mRNA type vaccine of the Pfizer and Moderna.
