The Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron showed up in Stratford at the court house for a anti-racism demonstration on January 15th
The peaceful protest was COVID-19 friendly and strictly followed orders. People across the country sent shoes in support of the protest. The use of shoes demonstrates the 89 different countries who live, work and raise families across Perth County.
The Multicultural Association is calling for the creation of a diversity and inclusion citizens committee. The association has worked in the county for years supporting newcomers and helping them find employment and encouraging them to make sure their voices are heard.
