A community survey has shown the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival is Wellington North’s top cultural asset.
The survey was part of the townships Master Cultural Plan and saw a total of 235 participants. The survey was launched back in May which asked residents to share thoughts on the cultural plan.
75 per cent of those who took part in the survey say the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival is one of the top cultural assets.
The Luther Marsh Conservation Area and the Mount Forest Museum and Archives were also considered among top cultural assets.
On the other side, residents have seem disappointed with food, wine and beer festivals with over 42 per cent saying they were either dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with those kinds of festivals.
