Minto has shown their support for more funding for more nurse practitioners in the area.
The region has been hit hard with recruitment and retention for staff who last year had nine physicians in Minto-Mapleton and with the departure of one physician in June has now been left with 8 for around 15,000 patients.
Minto approved a motion to send a letter to MPP Matthew Rae to request funding support for nurse practitioners.
Mapleton earlier this month approved their support for recruitment and retention efforts, continuing their annual contribution of $10,000.
