Tenders have been approved for Minto Fire to upgrade its truck fleet.
Council approved the purchase of a tanker truck from Safetek Emergency Vehicles at a cost of $390,000 excluding HST.
Director of Fire Services, Chris Harrow noted the 2022 budget had only slotted $350,000 for the purchase of a new tanker truck and will be replacing a 1989 Ford tanker.
The new truck will be stationed in Harriston with the current tanker moving to Palmerston and have the 1989 truck taken out of service.
