Minto Fire Educate Residents on Advisory, Watches and Warnings

The Minto Fire Department took the opportunity recently to update residents on the differences between Advisories, Watches and Warnings when it comes to weather forecasts.

They say advisories mean a weather events is perhaps expected to occur.

They then say that a watch means all conditions are being met for a weather event to happen and there is a risk of a weather event happening in the future.

Finally they say a warning is when a severe weather event is happening immediately or likely to happen very soon.
