Minto council are expected to address a report on a proposed bylaw which would allow the use of off-road vehicles on municipal roads.
Council mentioned the bylaw on March 2nd with councilor Mark MacKenzie saying he’s been asked many times on the status of the bylaw. The Town of Minto is not listed in Ontario Regulation 8/03 which forces towns to pass a bylaw in order to prohibit or restrict ORV use.
Minto council told staff to prepare a report on the subject back in November after a request from citizens who want to allow the use of off-road vehicles.
According the council the topic is very close and its not known how the discussion or vote will go when its brought up again.
