Minto council meetings are moving to the afternoons in 2025.
The Town approved to change most of their meeting times for council to 3pm starting next year which for the most part, the move was made for financial reasons.
Evening meetings included more costs to the town for overtime pay and operational costs.
While some discussion was held about earlier meeting times could see less people wanting to be part of council or attend meetings, council then decided they’ll still hold a 7pm meeting on certain months.
