Minto council returned to the discussion of endorsing the Town of Cobalt’s resolution on the Catch and Release Justice in Ontario.
Last October, the Solicitor General’s Information on Catch and Release Justice was released titled Ontario Calls for Immediate federal Action Bail Reform.
Clerk Annilene McRobb says the OPP are also in support of bail reform and the information is pretty straight forward.
“They had a quote from the OPP President in support of this. It’s pretty simple they are calling for immediate federal action on bail reform. The OPP support this.” McRobb.
Council agreed to support the Town of Cobalt’s resolution on the catch and release justice.
