Minto council has given approval of a bylaw to allow for a new church and cemetery to be built for the Mennonite community.
The approval was given to a rezoned section of a larger agricultural property by Given Road and Baseline Road between Clifford and Mount Forest.
Two public meetings were held for nearby property owners to voice their concerns.
Some changes have been made mainly with the size of the driveway for a 60’ and another smaller 15’ driveway.
The church is for a congregation which will use horse drawn transportation.
