Minto Approves Sale of Property at Palmerston Industrial Park

Minto has given the green light for the sale of property at the Palmerston Industrial Park.

The property was recommended to be sold to J&P Brothers LTD to be used for an industrial plaza.

Johnny Wilson who would be the buyer of the land is proposing to build a 7000 square foot building and overtime add another 19,000 square feet.

Belinda Wick-Graham, Minto’s Director of Economic and Community Development breaks down the plans for the property.

“Their plan is an industrial plaza with smaller units, 1000-2000 square feet. Four of them are potentially already used with him using 2 of those units and as noted he does a lot of work for the County of Wellington and Guelph Non-Profit Housing” said Graham.

With the expansion would also mean more jobs on the property increasing as more businesses lease the space.

Minto Mayor Dave Turton adds more jobs will mean a bigger need for housing locally to keep growing the community.
