Milverton Girl Battling Chronic Asthma sees Online Fundraiser Started

A local Milverton girl is facing a tough road after life changing medication she had been on in the past as treatment for her chronic asthma stopped seeing it covered under a compassionate care program.

The medication, called Nucala, was offering 6 year old Payton a glimpse at what life should be like for a carefree youngster. Then in December the company stopped providing the meds and the family faced the $15,000 to $20,000 annual cost for the treatment.

The alternate treatments have left the little girl not able to play and participate in life as she longs to due to her constant flare ups.

In addition the family has resorted to online learning for their 5 other children due to the risk Payton contracting Covid-19 could have on her.

There has been a GoFundMe put together to get Payton back onto the medication for the near future. They have had a company step forward to assist with the cost of the meds but the family has to come up with the first $2,000.

They also don’t know how long this offer would last.

To offer assistance to Payton, and her family, as they face a future full of unknowns when it comes to offering her a bright future visit the GoFundMe below.
