As the province goes through another shutdown, its again highlighted more than ever to keep local support strong in the community.
Businesses such as restaurants, salons and gyms continue to be hit hard and North Perth Mayor Todd Kasenberg suggests, if you want to support these businesses is to reach out a helping hand.
“Either a month membership at the gym or the equivalent of a haircut or hair service that you would normally get at this period.” said Kasenberg
When it comes to looking to expanding outdoor patios for restaurants or an outdoor cafe, Kasenberg says for now its best to wait out the current restrictions before going forward.
“We need to wait to get past the shutdown order before we would take any specific action on it.”
Next Monday’s council meeting will also announce the winner of the Norm Stirling Citizen of the Year and the Celebrate North Perth Inspiration Award
