Matt Cory is ready to go next weekend walking through Listowel carrying buckets and taking in donations to support a child in her cancer journey.
Ellie is a three year old battling cancer and Cory is taking all of the funds raised to directly support Ellie and her family.
On October 17th Cory will walk from Listowel Chrysler to Listowel Ford hauling buckets allowing everyone to donate, add to the weight and let Cory carry cash for cancer.
Cory hopes if anything, this event is about awareness.
“Childhood cancer doesn’t get the same attention that other causes receive. These kids, their families fighting battles I couldn’t even imagine fighting. Behind every diagnosis, a child, parent, grandparent, sibling entire families have to uproot their entire life overnight. If this event gets people talking about childhood cancer, thinking about it and what they can do to help…we’ve accomplished something so huge. ” said Cory.
Cory will start his walk at 11am. A donation bbq will be held at Listowel Ford to follow.
