After 24 years, Mapleton Custom Rodders has made the decision to discontinue their annual Show and Shine.
Officials say the decision was not made lightly but with times changing, rules and regulations change as well as club members changing in number were among some of the reasons the plug was pulled on the event.
Mapleton Custom Rodders thanked the community for their support on the multiple Show and Shines they’ve held over the years as well as the many spectators who who came out to attend.
The Show and Shine was a heavy supporter of the Palmerston & District Hospital who over the last 24 years was able to donate $9000 in support.
Mapleton Custom Rodders still plans to continue supporting the hospital.
