Mapleton Custom Rodders Show and Shine Tonight

Mapleton Custom Rodders are holding their 24th annual Show and Shine tonight.

The show is being held for the first time since delays and cancellations from the pandemic.

This years show will be in memory to life long members, Randy Wood and Jim Walter who passed away in 2021.

The show gets underway under the lights at the Moorefield Ball Park with registration from 6-8pm. The show will run until 11pm with a beer garden, food booth, live music, door prizes and a 50/50.

The food booth will be operated by the Commanchero Car Club of Listowel and the beer garden supported by the Optimist Club.

Live music will feature Rogers and Family in the first half with the second being “Butch Rogers” a duo consisting of Bryce Butcher and Mapleton Townships very own Luke Rogerson.

Show cars will cost $10, spectators for $3 and those 12 and under being free.

Toad” Hymers says all kinds of vehicles, old, new, truck and tractor alike are welcome.

“We take any type of car. If you’re proud to show it, bring it out. Tractors, big trucks, show cars, race cars, everything.” said Hymers.

Hymers adds the night features many ways of local support from the clubs for food and drink, supporting their own clubs and car show sales directly going to the Palmerston Hospital.
