Huron County’s Economic Development department is partnering with local maple syrup producers to host a new Food Festival in March entitled “Maple Mania”.
The event celebrates local food, Huron County’s agricultural producers and those who use spring’s sweet syrup in menus and tasty treats.
The event runs all month and sees cafes and bakeries prepare their treats from locally sourced maple syrup ranging from tarts, tea biscuits to French toast and danishes.
It all starts March 7th and sees 10 local restaurants offering special menu dining experiences.
On March 18th and 19th maple lovers can visit local sugar bushes, enjoy pancake breakfasts hosts by the Blyth & Zurich firefighters, and experience candy making demonstrations in the bush.
On the evening of March 18th White Squirrel Golf Course & Restaurant is hosting a “Maple Meal & Comedy Mayhem” that includes a 3-course dinner featuring maple infused dishes along with a comedy show by three stand-up comedians, Cassie Cao, Jarret Campbell and Nour Hadidid.
