Maitland Terrace recently celebrated its 35th anniversary as well as making its final mortgage payment this past February.
The non-assisted retirement home in Listowel was unable to have a proper celebration at the time due to restrictions from the pandemic and mandated long term care lockdowns.
The gathering was held this past Sunday for its residents, board members and extended family.
Speeches and live music took part throughout the afternoon, celebrating the use of the facilities once again.
The retirement community employs six staff with a 13 member board of directors which consists entirely of volunteers.
