Magna International set for $471 million expansion at Facilities across Ontario

Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae shared word of the Ontario Government securing a $471 million dollar investment by Magna International to expand the company’s operations in the province.

It will see a new $265 million dollar EV battery enclosure facility in Brampton opening later this year along with 560 new jobs.

They are also set to expand their existing automotive manufacturing facilities in Guelph, Windsor, Belleville, Newmarket and Penetanguishene.

They estimate up to 475 new jobs will be created.

$23.6 million dollars of funding was provided by the province through the Invest Ontario program.
