The Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest will see an emergency department closure this weekend.
The Wellington Health Care Alliance says due to staffing shortages the ED will be close on Saturday at 5am and reopen on Sunday at 7am.
Paramedics are still available during the closure with patients asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency with ambulances re-routing to the nearest open emergency department.
Nearby hospitals from the Louise Marshall include Palmerston, Durham, Listowel and Hanover.
