Local St. Marys Cheesemaker Receives Award from British Empire Cheese Show

Local St. Marys Cheesemaker Stonetown Cheese took to social media to toot their cheesemaking horn after receiving their newest award in recognition of one of their cheeses.

The Award was from the British Empire Cheese Show where they were named Grand Champion for their Amazing Grey. The firm ripened goat cheese uses milk from Hanover Hills Goat Dairy and is a Gruyere style cheese.

The company says the snacking cheese is also good for pasta.

It is sitting at 2 years old currently but they say it gets better with age.

They have added it to their award wall for all that visit to try out the award winning creation.
