Perth County and Guelph-Wellington paramedics were among the 130 honoured with a Governor General’s Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal.
The Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs awarded these paramedics during a ceremony last month.
The award is given to those who have served for at least 20 years providing the highest quality of care.
OAPC President, Chief Greg Sage says paramedics in Ontario demonstrate every day the caring and compassion they have for their communities.
In Perth County, Jacqueline Ussher, Tracey Cleary, Stephen Potz, Brian Stoeser and Monia Tousignant were honoured while D’Arcy McLaren with Guelph-Wellington received a service medal.
