The Huron Perth Children’s Aid Society and Stratford Pride Community Centre are grouping together to help find foster homes for LGBTQ+ youth.
Around 10 per cent of youth under the care of the Children’s Aid Society identify as non traditional male and female and as part of the society’s strategic plan, working with marginalized groups has been on their list.
Most of the youth with the CAS aged 14-18 are just in need of short term care.
To help find foster homes, the Stratford Pride Community Centre has added up a new tab on their website with fostering information.
