Listowel has been ranked 32nd out of 180 for one of the province’s most affordable places to live and buy a home.
The number crunch was conducted by Zolo, an independent real estate marketplace factored in the average price of a home, household income and unemployment rate in their numbers.
A total score was given to each town and city and ranked.
Listowel’s score took in the average price of a home going for $801,000 with an average household income of $94,800 and an unemployment rate of 3.8 per cent, giving a score of 112.25.
As far as small towns, Mount Forest was ranked at 3rd and Wasaga Beach taking the top spot. Stratford was listed at 2nd for medium sized cities.
