Listowel Memorial Hospital Flood Recovery Almost Done

The Listowel Memorial Hospital experienced a flood back in October.

Several months later and the recovery is nearly complete. Most of the demolition is finished as asbestos removal is complete. While rework had to be done, it also allowed the hospital to tackle some issues needing addressing, taking a “while were at it” approach such replacing flooring and repaint walls.

Renovations and upgrades to the hospital spending is currently at $331,284 with $120,000 of the funding being covered. While there is still some work to be done on older areas of the hospital, the majority of the cleanup is finished from the flood.

Staff are expected to have their kitchen and cafeteria back soon.
