A 21 year old Listowel man and 36 year old Mount Forest man are among the 6 charged in connection to a violent carjacking ring which saw high end vehicles be stolen and then shipped to Africa.
Six suspects were arrested facing a total of 30 charges with this theft ring stemming across the GTA.
Peel Regional Police announced the results of Project Stratis, an investigation looking into a string of armed carjackings around the region between January 18th-February 1st.
The 21 year old of Listowel has been charged with Robbery, Laundering the Proceeds of Crime and two counts of Conspiracy to Commit and Indictable Offence of Robbery.
The 36 year old Mount Forest was hit with four counts of Robbery, two counts of Disguise with Intent and Laundering the Proceeds of Crime.
