Kincardine name Ward 1 Councillor Gerry Glover as new Mayor

The community of Kincardine has a new Mayor. The local area council was without a Mayor after their long serving Mayor for the past 9 years, Anne Eadie, resigned without warning on April 9^th.

The council had been acting with Deputy Mayor Randy Roppel stepping in as acting Mayor singe that time.

The council selected Ward 1 Councillor Gerry Glover in a recorded vote of 5 to 3 to assume the role of Mayor.

Glover is the CEO of the Kincardine Family Health Team.

This leaves his former Ward seat vacant and means the Council there must name that replacement as well.
