North Perth Mayor Todd Kasenberg has initiated a Budget Amendment under the Strong Mayor Powers framework.
This comes after council’s endorsement at this week’s meeting.
This amendment reflects updated cost information received after the budget was approved last December with changes relating to the OPP contract and Maitland Valley Conservation Authority levy.
Further with the amendment it also is removing the Perth Meadows operating budget after a transfer to United Housing.
The updated budget would result in a $118.025 increase to the general tax levy bringing the total general levy to $23,194,694.
This see’s a combined tax increase of 7.15 per cent or around $173.82 annually to a median residential property.
