During a recent Wellington County council meeting, Councilor Mary Lloyd, the county’s Library Board Chair announced each library branch has been the benefactor of the estate of Mr. Jon Gregg Murray.
Jon has left the Wellington County Library with $257,640.40. Jon was a resident of Caressant Care in Fergus and was an avid user of library outreach services provided at the home.
The donation will help ensure their special outreach will continue to bring services to residents where they live in care facilities.
Warden Andy Lennox says the donation recognizes the important role the library system plays in the community.
