John de Bruyn Remaining as Chair of Ontario Pork Board of Directors

The Ontario Pork Board of Directors has announced John de Bruyn will continue as Chair for another term with Maaike Campbell serving as Vice-Chair.

de Bruyn who is a producer in Oxford County and Campbell from Lambton County were both acclaimed to their roles at a board meeting held on Tuesday.

de Bruyn was first elected in 2021 and has worked closely with other board members and producers in the industry for continued navigation during the pandemic.

de Bruyn says he looks forward to continuing to work with the board and represent producers and chart a course for the future of the Ontario pork industry.

Producer Doug Ahrens of Perth County completed his term earlier last month after serving as director for 13 years.

Tanya Terpstra of Perth County was acclaimed as a new board member for Zone 2.
