A Wellington County resident has lost $35,000 falling victim to a crypto currency scam.
Wellington County OPP say the resident contacted police on September 16th after learning they lost their money in the investment scam.
Police say the public needs to be vigilant for scams and if they are a victim to report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
OPP say to be cautious when hearing about investment opportunities with higher than normal returns, the caller displaying signs of urgency or fraudulent ads posted on social media.
