The cost of upgrading the Rothsay Transfer Station is becoming more difficult to keep up with due to inflation.
As part of Wellington County’s 10 year capital budget, funds were set aside for upgrades for the Rothsay and Elora sites for 2022 but approvals have not yet been received from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
The budget for the Rothsay site has jumped $997,600 for 2024 to account for inflation.
The report will be shared at the next county council meeting later today.
