Huron Perth Public Health reports presumed case of a Variant of Concern in the Region

Huron Perth Public Health has reported a person isolating who has tested positive for Covid-19.

The case is being considered the first presumptive case of a Variant of Concern due to a history of international travel in the past.

All contacts traced to this individual are isolating as well.

The results to confirm a variant can take up to 2 weeks to be confirmed.

The new guidance for those in the Region awaiting testing due to presumptive case of Covid-19 is to have all people sharing a household to isolate along with the individual awaiting a test.
