Huron Perth Public Health advises residents of Interchangeability of Covid-19 Vaccines

Huron Perth Public Health sent out an advisory this afternoon informing residents of vaccine interchangeability that is occurring for second doses.

The move move is being taken as a result of more vaccine being available and eligibility expanding for early second doses Residents who have a first dose of Astra Zeneca, Pfizer or Moderna are now able to book a future clinic with any mRNA type vaccine for their second.

The change comes after the National Advisory Committtee on Immunization updated their recommendations and endorsed the move.
