Huron-Perth Public Health’s Medical Officer of Health continues to urge those to get vaccinated from COVID-19, especially in youth as school will be back in session soon.
Dr. Miriam Klassen says getting as many students vaccinated as possible is a quick and one of the best protective measures, adding the more students vaccinated, the more safe the school year can be.
“Vaccination is by far the most effective layer. The higher we can get the vaccination rate, the more we’ll be setting up for a successful school reopening.” said Dr. Klassen
As of Wednesday, almost 73 per cent of youth between 12-17 across the province have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with 60 per cent fully vaccinated.
